  Dear Gary, we were able to get back from Israel on late on Tuesday and I saw your letter of 24th May with various other post received over that period.

  Firstly, can I thank you most sincerely for agreeing to drop everything and meet us at King's Cross on 24 May. It is heartening to know that there are still professional people in this world who, notwithstanding the amount of regulation imposed over the last few years, are still willing to put the needs of the client first. That was something which I tried to over some 25 years in professional practice before 1994.

  Unfortunately, because of the delay on the part of Phoenix Life in sending the rest of the documents to me by email, I had to post all of them from Israel, resulting in a delay of all of about a week, which has added to the overall strain of the process. Nonetheless, I think it's coming right and we look forward to obtaining possession of the property the beginning of July.

  Secondly, many of your comments and the contents of your letter made me think about future financial planning and although I confess I have always been somewhat sceptical about independent financial advice - when I see you again I will tell you a long story about what still seems to me to have been an attempted rip-off -  your whole approach has changed my view and I'm sure I will be seeking further advice from you once the financial position has stabilised.
